What time is worship?

Worship is on Sunday morning at 11 AM. We also have Sunday School for all ages at 10:00.

What are the beliefs of Adams UMC?

Most of our beliefs are ones commonly found in most mainstream Christian congregations.  Go here to learn more about our beliefs.

What should I wear?

Our only dress code is, “please do!” You may wear whatever you’re comfortable in and you consider appropriate for attending a worship service. You will see people wearing a variety of clothing, from dresses to shorts and everything in between. We welcome you whatever you wear.

What is the worship service at Adams like?

Most people consider our style of worship traditional. The music we sing is typically out of the United Methodist Hymnal. We also recite the Apostle’s Creed or use another creed to affirm our faith and remind us of our core beliefs. We share prayer concerns and praises. The pastor will give a sermon using a Bible passage that seeks to connect the timeless truth the scriptures contain with our present lives, grows our faith, and deepens our discipleship.

Can I bring my kids?

Of course! Children of all ages (yes, that means babies!) are always welcome to sit with their family. We know that kids won’t always be perfectly quiet or perfectly still and that is perfectly alright! During the service, the pastor will offer a children’s message and invite the kids to come up front for this time. Afterward, kids may leave for chidlren’s church or stay with their parents. Again, kids and babies are always welcome to remain in the sanctuary.

Do you offer a nursery?

Yes, a nursery is offered during the morning worship service. The nursery may also be offered at other times by request.

Do you livestream?

We livestream on our Facebook page. If you can’t join us live, no worries! The video is available anytime you’re able to worship with us.

Do you offer baptism?

We offer baptism to babies, children, and adults by sprinkling, pouring, and immersion. To learn more about baptism or to schedule a baptism, please contact the pastor.

Who can take Holy Communion?

All people who love God, repent of their sins and seek to live at peace with their neighbors are welcome to take communion at Adams. The communion table belongs to Jesus and is, therefore, open to all. You do not have to be a member of Adms or any other particular church to partake.

What if I can’t be at Adams on the day Communion is offered?

We have a home Holy Communion ministry. Please contact the pastor to make arrangements.

Will I be singled out as a guest?

No. We realize that such recognition can be uncomfortable and awkward, so first-time guests are not singled out in any way. We want you to be comfortable and focus on God during your time with us, and we want you to feel at home and return!
